Title: Diablo 4 Boons and Blessings Compared by U4GM
Post by: Andrew736 on Oct 31, 2026, 03:20 AM
Tyrael's Boons gives Diablo 4 players another way to shape a seasonal character, but there's a catch: you can't take every reward. The Season 16 PTR presents a cap of 132 points, with room for up to four of six selections across four paths. That makes your priorities matter, whether you're chasing D4 items (https://www.u4gm.com/diablo-4/item) or simply trying to earn more gold while leveling. The system is available to seasonal characters without requiring the Lord of Hatred expansion.

Plan Before You Spend

The cost of changing your mind is hard to ignore. On the PTR, removing a single point costs 5,000,000 gold. Move a few points around and your savings can disappear quickly. It's worth looking at the end of the tree before spending your first point, even if your early needs seem more urgent. Tyrael's Boons also sits alongside Seasonal Blessings rather than replacing them. Blessings provide a fixed set of bonuses, while the new tree lets you make choices based on what you're doing that season.

Gold First, Gear Upgrades Later

Scent of Gold looks appealing when you're starting fresh. It boosts gold and experience, with options for extra Horadric Cube materials, Gem Fragments, monster rewards and a better chance at Legendary drops. Once you're working on endgame gear, Trash for Treasure deserves a closer look. It can reduce Alchemist transmutation costs and improve access to crafting materials. Its Greater Temper recipe upgrades a Tempered Affix into a Greater Affix, though each use costs 30 Scrolls of Restoration and 1,000 Obducite. That's a lot to gather, so don't expect to use it casually.

Two Paths for Finding Equipment

Curious Addition focuses on the Purveyor of Curiosities. Depending on your choices, you can improve the chance of receiving a second item, find different item types or aim for better quality. One option raises the chance of Ancestral items but makes purchases more expensive. Merchant of Mystery is geared toward Torment play, adding a merchant who sells caches for Forgotten Souls. Further choices affect the available caches and let you use Runes or Gems for purchases. Both paths make more sense once you're regularly collecting the relevant currencies.

Keep Your Options in Perspective

Solo players may want to sketch out their intended selections before spending heavily. In a group, it's worth comparing plans, but don't assume every bonus will apply to everyone in the party. And if you're looking at D4 items cheap (https://www.u4gm.com/diablo-4/item) while planning a build, remember that the tree's rewards and costs are still subject to PTR feedback. The stated test window runs from October 27 to November 3, 2026, and the point cap, recipe costs or individual perks could shift before release. Check the launch notes before committing your gold.
